On behalf of all of us at Southern Sun Resorts, we hope that you are keeping well and safe during these difficult and uncertain times. Your resort, and all Southern Sun Resorts, remain closed for the foreseeable future and until such time as the current prohibition on interprovincial travel for leisure purposes, is lifted. The management and staff of your resort continues working towards ensuring that they are ready for your arrival, by implementing a range of protocols for COVID-19 so that your health, safety and wellbeing are catered for when we’re able to open once again.
The management and Board of your resort have undertaken extensive measures during this lockdown period to ensure that costs are reduced wherever possible and we would like to thank all owners who have continued to pay their levies during this difficult time and would like to encourage you to continue to do so, as levies are the lifeblood of your resort. All savings made during this lockdown period will form part of the resort’s reserves, to the benefit of timeshare owners, in the future. An accurate assessment of the resort’s financial position can only be made once the lockdown has ended.
All owners of weeks which have fallen within the lockdown period, have had their weeks banked with SunSwop and will receive the cost of the reservation fee of R509 (the value of an exchange back into Cabana Beach or another Southern Sun Resort), credited to their levy account. We will continue to treat further affected weeks in the same manner, until such time as the lockdown has ended and interprovincial travel is once again allowed. SunSwop has also extended the current 3-year redemption window for banked weeks, to 5 years. This has been done to ensure that all owners are afforded the best opportunity of successfully redeeming their banked weeks in the future.
